2020 UPCOMING EVENTS

SATURDAY

JANUARY 18th

Skiesta

Skiesta is a race sponsored by Seeley Lake Elementary Outside and the Seeley Lake Elementary Ski Team, consisting of a 1k for the youngest skiers, plus 3k, 5k and 10k for older youth. A 20k is also available for more adventurous youth wishing to push their limits and adults who want to participate in the racing fun. Growing in popularity and notoriety, Skiesta attracts youth from all over western Montana, plus Idaho.

SATURDAY

JANUARY 25th

OSCR

The OSCR tradition is that of a ski marathon. Today it's a 50km , 25km, and 10km race. Usually it is a single loop, incorporating specially groomed portions of the snow machine trails allowing us a challenging skate and classic ski course.

SATURDAY

FEBRUARY 1st

Biathlon

The minimum an individual will ski is either 3K, 9K, or 21K. No matter which category you ski, the racers will ski a loop, shoot prone, ski a loop, shoot standing, and ski another loop.

ONGOING

Ski Clinics

The Seeley Lake Nordic Ski Club sponsors ski clinics for beginner and intermediate skiers in both classic and skate techniques. Instructors leading the clinics are certified Level 2 with the Professional Ski Instructors Association and are capable of assisting students who have never been on skis before as well as those wishing to refine their skills. Our popular clinics are a fun, safe and inexpensive way to introduce yourself to the world of cross country skiing in a friendly group setting. Check the calendar for scheduled clinics.
